You can complain to us if you have an issue with an energy provider in Tasmania, but there are some things we can't help you with.

Private contractors

We can't help with complaints about private contractors like electricians and gasfitters, or solar installers/providers. You can contact Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) for more information or if you have a complaint.

Energy pricing

We can't help with complaints about Energy pricing (including tariff structures). Electricity prices are set by the retailers or the Office of the Tasmanian Economic Regulator. The frequency of price changes will depend on the terms of your contract or standing offer determinations.

LPG bottled gas

We can't help with complaints about LPG (bottled gas). You can contact CBOS for more information or if you have a complaint.
