The Energy Ombudsman of Tasmania provides an independent, free complaint handling service between Tasmanian electricity and gas (from 1 July 2005) customers and their providers.

The Ombudsman's decisions are based on current law and what is fair and reasonable, taking into account the different circumstances of each complaint.
